This compact, high value itinerary takes you to the THREE Tiger Reserves in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, the "tiger state" at Kanha where tiger sightings are excellent, aided by tracking and riding elephants. The tiger reserves represent some of the finest tiger habitat in India. The itinerary also includes the famous bird park of Bharatpur. This cultural dimension is what enriches any visit to India.

DETAILED ITINERARY President House,Delhi1st day : Delhi Arrive

Delhi Arrival Delhi in the morning. A warm welcome to India. Transfer to a hotel in New Delhi. After a short break we embark on our first journey to discover India. Our introduction to India will be by a " Rickshaw" ride a mode of transport used in small towns and in Old Delhi. We head for a guided city tour to the most interesting sights of the city that is the Red Fort a fort made of red sand stone which once housed the world famous PEACOCK throne and the Jama Masjid mosque. Overnight stay at the hotel.

2nd day : Delhi / Corbett National Park

Drive to Corbet : Afternoon visit Jungle for game viewing. Evening walk escorted by our resident naturalist into the surrounding forest to observe the flora and fauna of the area. Back to camp/lodge by sundown for campfire and barbecue. Dinner and overnight at Camp / Lodge.

3rd day : Corbett National Park

Full day Game viewing inside the jungle. This starts with early morning depart for the Durgadevi gate by jeeps. Meet the Elephants and their Mahouts and enter the tiger reserve through the Durgadevi Gate. The journey takes us through a stretch of about 15 Kms through the Ramganga valley to Lohachaur - an Old forest rest house built in the early 1900's. Enroute you shall pass through some excellent patches of fern laden moist sub tropical jungles and would encounter a variety of wildlife and birds. Have a lunch at Domunda - the confluence point of the Ramganga and Mandal rivers. Post lunch we move up the Mandal valley where we visit the 'Chunars' - a Hill tribe who carve pots out of wood. Arrive at Lohachaur by evening. Overnight at Camp / Lodge.

Elephant Safari, Corbett National Park4th day : Corbett National Park

We will take early morning Elephant safari along the Mandal River. The best way to explore the park is through the "Elephant Safari". Undisturbed by the mechanical roar of a car or jeep, open to the skies, accompanied only by the rhythmic scuff-scuff-scuff of elephant's feet and the creaks of the wooden howdah. The occasional booming of wild elephants to each other in close proximity can make you hang on tight to the wooden pole of the howdah. The ride can be a mix of moments of pure terror interspersed with long period of utter peace.

Back to the lodge for breakfast. Drive to Domunda post breakfast drive to Ramganga River. The Ramganga River is famous for the Mighty Mahasheer - a great sport fish. Picnic lunch by the river. Post lunch join the Elephants for a dip in the river. After a refreshing cup of tea, ride the elephants back to the Lohachaur. Arrive at Lohachaur by evening. Overnight at Camp / Lodge.

5th day : Corbett National Park

Depart early morning upstream along the Mandal River towards Maidavan chowki. The Mandal River forms a part of the northern boundary of the tiger reserve. Breakfast enroute. Post breakfast travel. Goodbye to the Elephants, Mahouts, Naturalist and the rest of the team and depart for Delhi after breakfast.

6th day : Delhi / Ranthambore
Tigers, Ranthambore National Park
Morning Transfer to Railway Station to Board the train for Swaimadhopur. On arrival Transfer to Ranthambore. Evening at Leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

7th day : Ranthambore

Morning and afternoon jungle excursions in the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. Ranthambore was among one of the very first sanctuaries to come under the aegis of Project Tiger and from a few dozens the number of tigers have increased to a little over a hundred. Now a national park, it has an area of over 400 square kilometers.

8th day : Ranthambore / Keoladeo Ghana National Park (Bharatpur)

Morning drive to Keoladeo National Park. Afternoon visit the park to see the nesting colonies of the birds.. Overnight at Hotel.

9th day : Keoladeo Ghana National Park (Bharatpur) / Agra

Morning bird viewing.

Later drive to Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. The imperial city of the Mughal dynasty between 1571 and 1584, Fatehpur Sikri was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri is the most popular day excursion from Agra, the city of Taj and capital of invincible Mughals for a long time.

10th day : Agra / Jhansi / Khajuraho

Taj Mahal, Agra Morning Transfer to Railway Station to Board Shatabdi Express Train for Jhansi (3 hrs) on arrival Transfer to Khajuraho. Since the wildlife of India is inextricably woven into the fabric of religion, art, sculpture, and legends, the itineraries include cultural highlights such as visits to fascinating palaces like Khajuraho and it's ancient temples is an experience in itself. Overnight at Hotel.

11th day : Khajuraho / Bandhavgarh

Morning visit Temples of Khajuraho, later drive to Bandhavgarh. Overnight at Hotel.

12th day : Bandhavgarh

Full day Game Viewing inside the jungle. Overnight at Hotel.

13th day : Bandhavgarh / Kanha

Tiger, Bandhavgarh National Park Morning Drive to Kanha National Park. Afternoon at Leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

14th day : Bandhavgarh / Kanha

Full day Game Viewing inside the jungle. Overnight at Hotel.

15th day : Kanha / Nagpur / Bombay

Transfer to Airport in time to connect your flight to Bombay. Overnight at Hotel.

16th day : Departure Bombay

Transfer to International Airport in time to connect your onwards destination flight.
