SpiceJet to launch Pune-Jaipur flights from June 1, 2011

From June 1, 2011, SpiceJet will operate a flight between Pune and Jaipur, according to a report in the Pune Mirror by Anurag Bhende. As there are no flights that connect the two cities, this will be the first flight from Pune to Jaipur via Ahmedabad. PSRK Sudhakar, Director, Pune Airport said, “As of now, there is no connectivity on this route from Pune Airport. Once this flight begins, it will be beneficial to Puneities as they will be connected to a new destination.” 

SpiceJet officials said, “This flight will start operations from June 1, 2011. The SG342 daily flight will take off from Pune at 7.45 am and will first go to Ahmedabad. From there, it will reach Jaipur at 10.50 am.” The airline is also start flights to Bengaluru from Pune on June 1, 2011. “There will be two flights from Pune to Bangalore, one in the morning and the other at night. The first flight SG227 will depart from Pune at 6.45 am and reach Bengaluru at 8.15 am. The other flight will take off from Pune at 11.10 pm and land in Bengaluru at 12.40 am. Both these flights will be operated on a daily basis,” the officials said.
